I've been waiting
I've been wondering when
You will open up
And let me in
Sometimes I think I'm better off alone

I was thinking if
You cared for me
We'd have so much fun
How great it could be...
But then I remember
You've got some living to do

Chorus:
Every day
I try to reach you every way I can
But it's hard to do without some success
And I don't know
Why every day I try to look inside your heart
But it's over now
We're better off apart

I've been standing by
You for years now
It's not my place to
Call you selfish
But I wish something would come of my devotion

Every day
I try to reach you every way I can
But it's hard to do without some success
And I only know
That every day, I try to feel the pleasure through the pain
Yeah, and I know that I'm to blame
Most every day, I reach out for your hand
But realize you're not there
I'm sorry now
And it's over now
We're better off apart

The music is, of course, "Back 2 Good" by Matchbox 20. I searched far and wide for this song, and found a million copies of "Push" and "3 AM", and finally found it on Sean's Radical MIDI Page. I think this is a particularly beautiful mix of a song which, truthfully, is beginning to get on my nerves due to radio overkill. It was refreshing to hear this mix. Thanks Sean!!
