of another life
thousands of years ago
across the scathing sands
the stones
on the backs of slaves
building
dying
for an evil being born
that will creep
slowly
surely
confidently
across an unsuspecting world
seeping into our lives
every day
its power grows
and i was there.
when its birth
revealed the key to its death
i was there
a slave?
a master?
a god?
millions were sacrificed
in this horrible task
and as it rises

and i am here.
the sands of this hell on earth
hide the bodies of the servants of God
and the secret to defeating
the power
that would see His creation
slashed and burned
a key battle approaches
and this key soldier
must go back
to the sands
